Several years ago a new class of utility metal took the golf industry by storm. Working from older models the idea of combining a small metal wood shaped head with a shorter .370 tip diameter shaft used in irons, produced the club commonly referred to as a Hybrid Club. Not all designs in this category are truly "hybrid", but most share the same shaft/head marriage and hosel configuration.

Designed to get out of those tough lies in the rough, the Z-Hybrid design allows you get the ball up and moving in areas where a long iron may not serve its purpose. Many golfers who already struggle with their long irons have opted to removed their 3,4, and sometimes 5 iron and replace it with one or more "hybrid utility metals". Dimension Z has its version too. The newest version being the Z-Hybrid. This design has a wider sole plate that carries a low center of gravity and an offset hosel configuration removes those unwanted misses.
